Butterfly a little bit different.

This picture was taken in Natural Museum in Chicago. There is Butterfly heaven where I had a lot of fun with the camera. The butterfly was alive and very cooperative.

EXIF: The image is full frame. Canon 20D, shutter speed 3.2sec. , aperture F22, ISO 200, Canon 100.

Thanks for looking Karel

Amazing detail, those eyes are just beautiful! Was it perched on the end of your lens hood? Heh.

Beautiful shot! I love the detail and sharpness of everything. The only nit I have is I wish I could see more of the antennae. I've been to the museum as well, isn't it spectacular!

Fantastic, Karel! Do you have an ID on this fellow? The eye and probiscus detail puts this one over the top!
The local butterfly exhibit opens on March 5th, and I'm counting the days. :jump:

Extremely well done!! I haven't seen a butterfly shot like this before. The Depth of field is very impressive with f22! I love all the detail and the combination of colours. Most of all I like this unusual composition and approach :)

Great shot and I like the detail. Those eyes are a bit scary.
