I'm photographing predominently in the Los Glaciers region of Patagonia, I've been here 5 months on this visit and I have ten months left on this trip. I'm at risk of boring people to death with my images but I felt like I had a good one here.

Boring? Not if the quality is the same as this photo. One concern: the water in the foreground is gray on my monitor. I think brightening (whiter) it would make an exceptional photo even better. It appears you were standing in some cold, fast moving water. Is that so?

This is certainly not boring. Real sweet. I echo Jim's comment about the water and probably the snow too. A bit whiter on both? Keep boring me this way.

I'm bored to death with these awesome images, Andrew! Please stop. I love everthing about this, but I particuarly like the the detail on the bottom of the stream. If I had one suggestion, it would be to crop from the bottom past the turbulence. Some how that works well for me.

Andrew, the gentle pinks and blues in the sky are great. It's also neat that some of the distant peaks are showing through. They look very rugged. I like the long line of the stream and its mix of colors and relfections. I like Gary's suggestion about cropping the turbulence as that lets the stream be a stronger element in the image.

Fantastic image Andrew. Would like to see more of Fitzroy but I know that even this much of it visible with this light is a lucky moment. Nice processing... were you standing in the water??

Overall I agree with the others about maybe adding some contrast, but this is very nice, a long way from boring! What really captured my attention when opening the large version are the rocks under the water in the foreground. I think they look amazing, and even a bit mysterious if that makes any sense. Their luminance with the flowing water on top of it make a real strong foreground.

I really struggle to answer questions and suggestions as much as I would like due to the very weak wifi here in Patagonia. In answer to those suggestions that I work on the brightness of the water and the snow, I shall have to wait until I get to a fully calibrated monitor. At present I only have a Macbook Air which is receiving only a paltry 48% of Srbg. To further answer those comments suggesting that I crop the bottom, I can't honestly say I want to do that, I don't much like changing the aspect of an image if I can help it and I tend to like the gap between the bottom of the image and the start of the foreground streambed. I'll certainly give it some thought though. As for more visibility on Fitz Roy, personally I love it when it's partially covered, the peak from this cascade is difficult to balance due to the mountain on the upper left. That mountain Loma de las Pizarras really gets in the way and needs something to help balance it. To my eye the cloud does a great job, but I also like the mountain being partially covered anyway, it leaves a little to the imagination.
