Every year Columbia hosts an 1850's 4th of July celebration. The locals hang these buntings from the buildings. I liked the color and curves of the bunting in contrast with the window.

Great shot, the flag pops! Hope your 4th of July celebration was a good one
Preston: I like the juxtaposition of the colors and curves of the bunting against the monochrome patterns in the window and house. There's a nice old-fashion look to the image. Richard
Preston, a neat local find here. The older wood structure and window seems to add to this style of flag or banner. Fashioned after an older era I enjoy these more over our standard flag especially when celebrating a milestone like Columbia has on the 4th.
As a side note my brother Tom has a Victorian era home in Redlands, CA. and every 4th he covers his half porch (I think that is the term for a porch that circles the home half way), with these style banners. Very patriotic to say the lest.
Very nice, Preston. I like the rich red/white/blue colors against the subdued background, well done.
