There are probably several formations with the same name, but this one is in southwest Colorado.  Full frame.

Yep, doesn't look like the famous one marking the Oregon Trail in Western Nebraska.  This is an excellent look at this formation with a fine collection of colors and textures both in the land and in the sky.

Very nice mix of colors Bill. This just needs some western movie music playing in the background laugh.

This is real nice, Bill. I see a it of a magenta cast in the sky (esp. the clouds), but the colors and textures in the land are really nice!

I live in western Nebraska and when I saw your title I said that isn't Chimney Rock, but your are right there are probably  a lot of formations with the same name. I like the composition. The light is nice, there are several layers, the colors are beautiful and the sky adds the finishing touch.

Bill, What a wonderful scene. Yes, looks straight out of a western movie and very pleasing to view.

The contrast on this image needs to be tweaked.  It is too washed out now.  Should be an easy fix.

Nice soft pastel feel here.  Wish that light that is on the cliff behind the rock was on the rock itself but...nature ;)

Hi Bill,

I too find the mix of colors to be very complimentary, and there is a wonderful openness to this image.

It's a very nice composition with the layers of colors and textures. I like the fact that this chimney doesn't look like a "mean" rock  but more like a big toy for children. Very well done. I like it.
