Taken around midnight on Lofoten islands, Norway. This was one of the first days (or nights) of midnight sun this year, and what a light show it was. The landscape remained bathed in fiery red light for almost two hours. Pretty incredible.
Please let me know what you think. :)

6 commentsthis is really beautiful light. Is that a man made structure and hence MN gallery? Nonetheless a wonderful image
Yes, it's M&N because this is a man-made orientation aid for hikers (even though, honestly, it's rather difficult to get lost there
).
Beautiful, Basil, you controlled the light very well here, and really captured the feeling of seeing one of these midnight sun nights. I really like the warm light reflecting on the surrounding grass. Very nice, definitely no nits for me!
Really love the composition. My eyes oscillate back and forth from foreground to background. Very balanced processing as well!
Wonderfully exposed Basil. I love the warmth of the light on the rocks and the ominous sky.
Incredible capture. Maybe cutting the blue on rock a tiny-bit? The Composition is very well structured.
I like the idea of a midnight sun. That should give you lots of choices, right?
