Gripping Stuff

<div>I am stoked to be able to announce that this photo has just been awarded as the First Runner Up in the category "Wild Cats of Africa" in the inaugural round of the Nature's Best Photography Africa competition (in conjunction with Nature's Best Photography in the USA). </div>

<div>I captured this photo during our Wild Eye Great Migration safari back in 2013 - one of those rare moments when the chase ends up close to your vehicle as opposed to far in the distance.</div>

Morkel: gripping indeed and congratulations on having been selected in that competition. It's a great shot in all aspects. Once agaiin, congratualtions. Richard
Congrats!! Very nice, compelling image. Nature is tough sometimes!
Congrats on the honor, Morkel. It is a tremendous shot, and shows you don't necessarily need to see much of the hunter to make an effective hunting image.

Wow! Eye popper Morkel. What a nice job you did capturing the action in perfect detail. Nature's way in action, up front and personal.
A killer image, Morkel!

Well timed...and hard to look at for the emotional impact. Well done.
Hey Morkel,
Your image title perfectly describes this shot! Powerful stuff for sure...the expression on the "victim's" face conveys (or illicits) a ton of emotion. Well done!
Cheers...

Near perfect shot, Morkel. It is not too often that's the hidden eyes of a cheetah add to a shot but in this case they would have competed for attention with the intensity of the antelope's expression. I can almost hear his cry.
Cheers,
Hisham.
Thank you all for the kind comments...
Congrats Morkel! This is a stunning and dynamic shot. Not to mention you captured my favorite of Africa's big cats in action, makes me happy.
