Yawning Gull

I was able to get close to the gull while lying on the ground.  The photo is uncropped.  Since most of the gull is black, white, and shades of gray, I used Silver Efex to make a black and white composition, except for the central element of this week's theme.

Allen, I think your limited color approach works very well here.  In fact, I'm not sure I have noticed if you hadn't of said something.  The yawn really pops and tongue is a great addition.  I do think that I'd like a bit more room behind the tail would be good...maybe a job for content aware fill...

Good detail, just a bit tight in the arse..but U knew that of course.
Love the wide-open beak/view of the tongue here, something you don't often seedevil

Makes me yawn just looking at it, Allen!  The b&w processing with selective beak color really puts the focus on the yawn.  An interesting approach and a good job with the processing.

Hi Allen, I have never seen the tongue like this before. Like the low shooting angle. Your processing works well here.
