Western Kingbird Hover

<div style="text-align:-webkit-auto">Caught this Western Kingbird inhovering looking for insects. The shutter speed was not enough to freeze the wings, but I liked the effect anyway. The background mimics the bird's color, which is nice I think.</div>

The blur in the wings is good and provides an indication of motion. The 4 dark spots in the BG are somewhat distracting, but can be easily fixed. Other than that, I believe that you have captured a nice one...........................Jim

Nice work on this image. I like the blurred wing tips. Shows motion nicely. Nice sharp head and body.
Excellent, Jerry. Superb detail, nice wing position, and I like the slight blur.
Very nice, sharp where it needs to be and the wings are blurred just enough to make it pleasing.
very nice soft feel in this. nice colors and composition.
Great job (especially at the SS) Jerry. I like the wing tip blur sometimes to show a sense of motion and you nailed the sharpness where it counts most (the head). Nice work!!!
Love this Jerry, the birds nice-n-sharp & the wing blur conveys movement of so well

I'm drooling all over your lens BTW
