This is one of the larger waterfalls in Iceland. The Skjalfandafljot River flows through a 7000 year old lava flow to create this water fall. Access is very easy and it is one of the more popular tourist vistas. On this day in May, it was cold, rainy, and windy; a typical early summer day. Please view larger image.
iso 50, 1/3 sec, 17 mm, f5, neutral density filter, tripod, full frame,Topaz BW. If it wasn't for the trail, I could have entered in Landscape. The color image is so monochromatic (reddish brown and greenish grey) due to the weather that BW was the way to go.

2 commentsVery nice take on this iconic spot with som typical Icelandic weather. I think you made a wise decision going for B+W. My only suggestion would be to crop a bit from the right side, to something of a 4:5 photo.
Hey David,
Man !
This is a beautiful location that you captured so well. The B & W conversion is excellent with nice tones throughout and really portrays the cold and the weather perfectly.
