In the last 3 days, over 3 inches of rain fell where I live. This afternoon, the sun came out briefly, even while still raining. I headed out to our pond and found a single least skipper nectaring on a dandelion flower. Just be coincidence, it's doing the same thing here at this very moment.
Sharp details and complete DOF, I like it Jim.
I might shave a bit off the top or compose differently, but this works too..
This is a fine look at this little skipper. We had a bunch of these around here a month ago, but they've disappeared for the time being. It may be the make-it-glow, but the background here seems a touch over saturated.
Thank you for the suggested edits
. This version is less saturated with a tighter crop with material removed from the top................................Jim
Excellent capture of this cute skipper, Jim. I like the excellent details in the subject. I think the repost looks better with both changes.
Jim:
Orange BF on yellow flower. Skippers are such photogenic subject with their big round eyes. Tack sharp and nice bg with this set up.
