Thank you Mark Seaver for your comments about my prior image.  I processed it during the early stages of my post-processing from Keith Bauer.  Keith and I re-processed it tonight.  I hope you like it better.

August 3, 2013 at Trona, California during the Perseid Meteor Showers.

Nikon D800  Nikkor 14-24  15mm  ISO3200  20 second exposure at f/2.8  My recollection is that the white balance is at 3600 on the Kelvin Scale  Processed in LightroomCC2015, PhotoshopCC2014, NIK and TK.

I appreciate the comments I get.  You are an important part of my growth as a photographer.  devil

As I indicated, I think the first post is exceptional, however, I do like the repost better. The bright area has been corrected and the peaks are darkened to give them a sillouette appearance.

Patrick, the bright area of the Milky Way is much improved.  I also like the extended view with the clouds showing on the right and the subtle overall darkening in the sky.  This would make a great large print.

Hey Patrick,
Holly Molly what a Spectacular Image this is, amazing in all respects. I agree this should be a large print in a complimentary frame hanging on the wall.
Well done and congratulations on the WP . . .  devil

Absolutely breathtaking image, Patrick! The colours and tonal range in the sky is fantastic (REALLY nice job in post!) and the foreground silhouetted features take it up another level, as does the wonderful warm glow in the LRC. Just beautiful.
