Angry bird

This was taken on Farn Islands, arctic terns are very aggressive when you are walking near their nests and is hard not to, because their nests are sometimes on only road on the island. Thankfully island is open for visitors only 4 hours per day, so for 20 hours they can enjoy in peace (but I don't think they do, because they fight with each other when no one else is around).

It was taken with Fuji X-E1 camera and fixed Samyang 12mm lens prefocused on cca 0,5m and trying to catch it in best way while the bird attacks me. Continuous shoots and hit and miss technique (much more miss...).

Converted to B&W for more drama in the photo.

WOW!

I love it.  Very dramatic and the use of B&W really paid off.  Reminds me of a Alfred Hitchcock movie.  In my opinion, well done!

Absolutely great image ! Love all about it. B&W is a great choice here, and the expression of the bird makes the image ! Hats of blush, Hans

Well planned and executed, Gorazd.  The wide angle made for a really interesting bg that frames the bird well and the angry pose is really neat.

Amazing capture!  The processing does justice to the image very well.
