Fresh from the Bath

by Dennis Plank

This Savannah had just come from a bath in the shallow stream section of our pond. I'm not sure what the pose was all about, but I liked it.

7Dii, 500mm f4 ISL + 1.4TC, Jobu Gimbal on RRS legs, f/5.6, 1/3200, iso 800, aperture priority, partial metering, -2/3 stop compensation (mostly because I was also shooting Goldfinches).  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Slight crop to 19MP.  Taken May 23rd at 2:25 PM under cloudy skies.

Comments and criticisms are much appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Just too cute!!! I really like how the cloudy sky worked here, well defined but very natural colors!

Superb details in the LP Dennis, love the stop action 'fresh' pose you've caught.

Also like the muted colors, excellent settings to pull this one off so welldevil
