Here's a look at early spring in the Tom Miner basin of Montana taken two weeks ago. While the willow colors persist through the winter, they do intensify a bit at bud break and the grass was greening nicely (giving the horses something besides hay to eat). I like the layering of colors and lines presented, Mark. A Spring crispness come through the entire image. A beautiful Montana morning.
This brings out the best in a springtime scene, Mark. Seeing the snow capped mountains in the background along with the grazing horses in the warmer low grasslands makes for a super view. Has to be the best of seasons for both animals and humans alike watching the passing of a cold winter as expressed here in this very fine image......
Mark: Makes me want to be there. Wonderful scene that must be soothing to view in person. Most excellent.>=))>
Mark, my first thought was also “Makes me want to be there”. The larger view is so fresh, as if I could feel the wind.
Hi Mark
You have captured a wonderful spring scene and spring mood.
the receding snow in the mountains, the meadows turning green, and the horses grazing. make for an memorable spring scene

Wonderful vibrant colors. The large version is amazing. Lovew the color in those fg willows. Great job, Mark.
Beautiful, Mark. A lovely scene and very well captured. I love the little wisps of clout above the mountains.
Looks like there's not much snowpack there either. I have my fingers crossed for the fire season this year.
