Hosta - Jewelry

Raindrops trapped in the hosta leaf often contain brown bits of wind-blown chips and flakes.  Seeing these gave me the idea to make my own drop...I cleaned out the rain filled drop which was cluttered with bits of dark stuff.  Then dripped some tap-water onto the leaf and floated this and that...experimenting with what might be a colorful combination.  This is one that I liked.   Zeiss 100mm and Nikon d800e.

I thought it might be set up that way.   Nothing wrong with that!  This is very nice.  I love the splash of color and shape on the otherwise straight lines of the leaf.  Really nicely done, Ken.

Great idea--take what Nature gives you and then improve on it! It really does look like a piece of jewelry.
