I captured this White-Throated Sparrow a few weeks ago. I never realized there were so many sparrow species.

11 commentsNice sharp image! Good pose and colors. The two yellowish OOF blobs do distract some, but not too much. Glad you got this image, been waiting to find them around here, but no luck so far. Thanks for sharing.
Bird looks very good -- like the yellow eyebrow -- agree about the yellow blotches in the background -- might try this -- select the bird -- inverse -- desaturate yellows -- might be worth a try
Very nice. I like this much as is, but once it was mentioned, I can see muting the yellow leaves as a slight improvemnent.
Excellent. Same response to yellow blobs as already mentioned. Love the colors.
Jerry,
Great imgfe, even though the background is not overly helpful. Given the quality of the subject it could be worthwhile to "tidy up" the background?
I did a little work on the OOF blobs.
Looks very good with the blobs removed they did draw the eye a bit, really nice shot of this cracking little Sparrow in it's habitat.
Hi Jerry,
Your blobectomy worked well in the repost. I like what you have done as the subject now dominates the composition

great look at a nice looking sparrow, Jerry. I like what you did with the repost. I might also think about getting rid of the branch that hits the sparrow's back.
Nice, Jerry. A busy setting, but the Sparrow pops out of it very well. Great job on the repost.
Hi Jerry
repost definately better. Again it shows a background with habitat can work - however busy it may seem
