You are on a roll with those badlands photos! I really like your choice of going for a slightly darker image, this really helps creating the unearthly atmosphere. Very sweet!

Dark, foreboding, and really beautiful.  There is no place that stirs my soul more than these badlands.  Awesome shot, Harley.  Looks like your trip was very fruitful.  I also like this with a small crop using the dark ridge line as the ending point.  Either way an inspirational image.

This is beautiful Harley. Very organic. Look at it while listening to classical music. The frame was well chosen. I actually like the lighter part above the distant ridge.

I agree, It's dark and beautiful. Great shapes and textures but what I really like is how the light and shadows are working here. Really nice!

These compression images such as with a longer focal length do a nice job of isolating the textures of the terrain. The color is artistically rendered dark and subtle and could be rendered in mono as well.

Again, I love he metallic textures here Harley. Stunning highlights and excellent tonal range.  This would make an excellent B&M me thinks.

I reallyt like the "pearly" luster on the landscape, and the color balance works really well!

The darker tonality really gives a mysterious look to this, Harley, and seems to enhance the sense of movement, especially of the foreground hills. Love it.  Your portfolio of images from these Badlands is incredible.

Amazing landscape image. This darkness adds a metalic finish to the image. Thanks for sharing.

As others have mentioned the metallic look to this image is fascinating... like a crumpled piece of aluminum foil that has been smoothed out a bit. Great series of photographs.

The textures in this image are wonderful, Harley.  There's such a fine sense of flow in all of the shapes, especially in the "foreground" (e.g. the lower 80%).  I can see Dave's suggested crop but I also like this as presented with the teaser of texture along the top.  I wonder how this would feel if you could pull a hint of texture out of the distant ridge.
