I shot this view of Denali on a rare day you can see the top. Found it recently when moving files around and I liked it.
Comments and critiques please. Always learning.

Nice photo, though neither the top of the lower North peak or the higher South Summit are visible. Mixed clearing clouds such as you have captured are always more interesting than clear blue skies without any texture.

The larger version is a great help here. What makes this image for me, strangely enough, is the silhouette of those foreground pines. They give a wonderful sense of space and dimension to the scene and work well with the forest directly behind it. The clouds were not favorable for you on that day. They sit on the mountain without adding much to it. A crop removing some of the sky from above helps somewhat.

The mountain pops very nicely against the darker foreground ridge and the tree tops. To me, dodging the clouds and sky would make this view more inviting.

Denali comes across very imposing in this one. What a massive mountain! The dark trees in the fg add a lot, I agree with Igor.

Agree with comments about the black firs in foreground… they look like stoic observers of the mountain. The powdery white Denali is a stunning contrast to the trees. I might crop a touch off the sky, also suggested by others. As is, a beauty!

Nice look at McKinley. We were there and never did get a good look at the mountain. I like the light on the mountains and the sky. I am on the fence as to whether the trees are to large in the frame. Although in the large version the trees do not look as large in the frame.

Andrew, This is a very cool view of Denali. The large version really helps enjoy this scene and I totally agree with Igor's thoughts on this.
