We photographed a Least Grebe at Estero Llano Grande State Park in South Texas during our trip down there a couple of weeks ago.

Canon 7D2 500F4 1/1000 F5.6, iso 800, handheld as low as I could get without getting in the water.

If you stick around long enough a grebe will give you a shot -- very nice catch on this little grebe -- like the pose and water drops

Great low angle and over the flying water in this one Nate. Looks like you had a great trip to Texas. :toast:

The flying water droplets make this one for me. Great capture.

I like the pose of the grebe in this photo. Good stopping of the action. Must see the larger image. Thanks for sharing.

Great action shot of this Grebe. Love how the water is spraying around him and how intense he is to get going. The cute factor plays a big role for those viewing the image.

Second time I see this species  . Classical shake-of water droplets pose, very nicely executed! Congrats, Hans

Great action. The splashing and ruffled feathers are wonderful. Glad the eye remained clear, as that spot of orange really pops.
