Out and About

I took my daughter on a hike the other day. I had been out the day before and found that the Chipmunks were out of hibernation and running all through the forest. We played with a family taking shots for a couple of hours. She got a new point and shoot with a long zoom and was so excited that she could zoom in and get better pictures.
(We also worked the local chickadees over for a time too )
Shot with Sony A99 and 70 - 400G

Nice pose you caught! Good color and sharpness. Do think you could crop tighter if the quality will hold up. I always look forward to the first sighting of chippies each spring. Thanks for sharing.

I like the warm lighting and the classic pose. Good job of depth of field control, too.

Sweet shot both in content and quality, Gary! Love the pensive pose and detail, and the textures and tones of the perch. I'm not sure if this would improve the image significantly or not, but the band of brightness (snow) on the right could probably be eliminated and result in a stronger frame. Doing this might require some adjustments elsewhere to keep the chipmunk from becoming too centered. Just thinking out loud and stretching for a suggestion for improvement  as this is a very pleasing and solid image as presented.

I really like how the chipmunk is on a log. The detail on the chipmunk is awesome and I also like all of the different colours in this picture.
