Here's a shot that I took half an hour leter than "Eye Candy" which I posted earlier this year. The sun just came over the horizon and made the limestone wall glow red and orange. One of the most beautiful morning I witnessed this past winter.

It's a bit of an unusual comp, but the light is so sublime that it works. My only nit is the white spots in the ULC. I'd be tempted to clone them out so that the image feels more balanced.

Overall though, the sweet light and mixture of warm and cool tones makes this image compelling.

Wow, amazing light! I agree, the composition is unusual, but well balanced and this cliff has an interesting shape and adds strong lines. I am sure this was a wonderful morning up there!

Interesting to compare the two Bill. I love the light on the foreground in this one, but slightly prefer the sky of the first. Both are beautiful.

Stunning light. The diagonal of the wall marches the eye across the frame so very well. Exquisite image.

That's some sweet light, I would clone out the bright bits of sky on the left. Wonderful shot.

That is some very sweet light. My only thought would be to clone in some clouds in the ULC to get rid of the white from there.

Beautiful light and colors in this Bill and I really like the comp in this. Very nice details in the large version also. Others have mentioned the bright area. A beautiful winter scene that's beautifully processed. :toast:

Gorgeous light and scene. I am in with the clone suggestions on the left sky, but minor. A beauty.

Nice Bill! This is in the Jura? I suppose cloning out the white makes a more balanced image but I reside in the nature as it is camp.

Thanks for sharing, wish we could have been there!

Great light and comp Bill. A nit would be a consideration to clone the ULC to remove the window to the sky (more consistent with the rest of the clouds). Just scrolled down and see that's a popular sentiment (not that that means anything )

Tom Falley: Yes this is in Jura Mountains of Switzerland
Thanks for your feedbacks and suggestions. I agree with you on the upper left corner. I thought of cloning out the bright spot but then somehow I leave it that way.......the comp would be more balanced.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate your opinions.

I like more scenario, composition, sharpness than colours (a little oversaturated for my tastes).
Excellent image. all the best,
