This is again from Death Valley and once again I embraced the haze. Prior morning and different locale from the one I posted earlier.

The small version does not translate well, so please have a look at the larger.

C&C always welcome.

I am curious if you prefer the B&W rendition or this color?

I think I prefer the color version Harley, primarily because of that sweet golden light on that small ridge in the fore middle ground along with the blues on the far ridges making for a classic color combo. Don't get me wrong though, the B+W is equally classic. Nice job making something out of the haze. :toast:

Another vote for the color version! The soft light adds a lot I think, I really like the greens and yellows in the foreground. And it adds another contrast to the monochrome layering in the background. A real beauty!

A lot of nice layers. This image works very well as a B&W.

I reckon I'll vote for the b/w. Surprising I know  The color version is very nice but I really like the tonal transitions in the mono version. The haze and the receeding ridgelines work well. Nice work, Mr H.

I'd prefer the b&w version, that was my first thought. But after a while, looking at the color version I love the color version even more than the balck and white one. You had some great interesting light an color that works really well in the color version. But honestly both of them are excellent

Nice layering and the monochrome certainly helps show this off.
