Moonlight on the Hills

The moon was 97% full and up just high enough to loose the red color from atmospheric diffraction. There were some very light clouds in front of the moon. Just enough to defuse the light some, but not enough to block the brightness. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Well balanced tome and exposure wise, these volcanic plugs are always an exciting disturbance in the landscape!

Very nice nightscape. I personally like them much more when they're illuminated by the moon that the artificial lights. I also like that you didn't try to include one of those milky way images. Those are fine but shot too often IMO. It would be interesting to see what this looks like with the sky darkened down more but the number of stars retained. I suspect that they would stand out more.

Nice sky and almost too balanced for my taste. A little tension with not so centered format maybe, maybe. :toast:

This looks really nice Richard. The exposure feels natural and looks like how night should feel to my eye. I very much Like how the moon illuminates the rocky fg, ad the how the cool tones in the night sky play with the warmer illumination.

Very nice work

This looks really nice Richard! The foreground has the right amount of luminance for a convincing night photo.

Remarkable image! I have no comments regarding change, I like it as it is. IMHO you have a skill in bringing out the landscape of the area. Thanks for sharing.

Like the composition. The centering of the monolith adds to the strength. Great moonlight and night sky.
