This is our Maddie, another rescue dog we adopted from
Mary's Dogs in NH. She came from an unwanted litter in South Carolina and with the help of the
Humane Society of Marlboro County, made her way north with her littermates. We adopted her before she even arrived and believe she is primarily a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mix, though we don't know for sure. She is 19 weeks old in this photo and has been with us for two weeks. She's a smart little cookie and has adjusted to her new home (with big sister Gracie) very well!
Canon 50D with EF135/2L on RRS ball head and Bogen tripod, f/2 @ 1/100, ISO 400. Full frame minus a crop off the top, converted to B&W in CS4. All natural light from a large window in back of me.

8 commentsMaddie reminds me so very much of our very first family dog my dad found abandoned on Long Island when we lived there MANY years ago now. He was a cute male dog that was just a pup on the loose in a location my dad was stringing telephone cable between poles back in those days. Spot as we called him moved west with us back in the 50's and lived to a ripe old age of 15 as I recall. Thanks for sharing the photo here.

She looks like she's adjusting well. She has a nice relaxed, but alert expression on her face.............................Jim
