I found this population of moss on a large boulder near a glacial moraine. The ice was beginning to recede leaving these mosses exposed to the sun. I can't wait for Spring--it is only around the corner! K5 IIs 180mm f3.5 (1/10sec at f10, ISO 250), 11 image stack Pmax, Exposure, LM,Make it Glow at 10% opacity...............Jim

Very nice how the ice and moss seem to be battling each other! Especially the little piece of moss peeking through the ice at the top is a nice detail. My only suggestion would be a bit of contrast, it looks a bit flat.

Thanks Roel,

I bumped up the contrast a little bit and it looks better.......................Jim

Jim, I like the diagonal comp and various green/yellow colors. The larger image has a painterly effect.

A well seen scene, Jim. I like the details in both the moss and the ice plus the clarity to see deep into the moss. The extra contrast in the repost is a good improvement.

Another fine microscape, Jim. I like the ice/moss yin/yang. I personally don't see much difference between the two versions, and I might try bumping the contrast a bit more. :toast:
