674 - Storming the Pass

A truck cresting Thompson Pass during a winter wind storm. I had to park my truck sideways facing into the wind, roll my window down and shoot this from inside. There was no way I was getting out cause they'd have probably found me at the bottom of the mountain. Fortunately this 18 wheeler was moving pretty slow because of the poor visibility and deep drifts.

Now that's "brazen photography", crosswise to an oncoming 18 wheeler... This image does a fine job of showing nasty conditions as it's filled with blowing/falling snow, yet there's enough visibility to tell what's happening. Well done, Gary.

Along with what Mark said I absolutely love the sense of verticality you captured in the image. :toast:

Hi Gary :wavey: Another great image... you captured the extreme conditions, and mood of the storm and wind amazingly well :toast:

It took me just a moment or two for my eyes to pick out the detail, Gary, but I do like the almost monochrome effect and the feel you've got of the blustery conditions.
