Ross's Geese Gliding to Land

Photographed this Sunday afternoon at the Merced NWR. With the sun coming from the top left of the birds, it gave some unique lighting to the secondary feathers. I did some light adjustment of the bird's bodies to give a little more detail. Shooting birds in the air is not an easy accomplishment.

Oh! I do agree with you about shooting birds in flight– not the easiest thing to do! What a great shot to show off your good work here. I like the decisions you made in post-processing. This is a very handsome group of three, in good detail and very pleasing to look at.
