Snow Patterns WC672

Taken a year ago in my backyard, which is always susceptible to winds creating interesting patterns in the snow. Thought it would be a good candidate for B&W. Sharpened and increased contrast in post.
Sony Nex-6, ISO 100, f/11, 1/250, 75mm. Comments and suggestions always welcome and thanks for viewing.

Well made! the combination of horizontal shadows and vertical valleys, texture of the snow and comp make for an alluring abstract.

Jim, my first thought on seeing this was to remember "There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture...." from the intro to The Outer Liimits (a 60s TV show for you young whippersnappers  ) The lines and shapes here are great and you've got a fine sense of depth as well. It's hard to image that this is from your backyard.

A very nice look at the shapes and textures created by the wind. The shadows add even more interest to this image. Very nice, Jim!

Hey Jim,
Great entry for this WC, the patterns here are very hypnotizing. You also managed a wonderful tonal range with the B & W conversion.
Well done . . . :toast:

Love the contrast between the forms of the snow and the lines of the tree shadows. Really nice texture to the snow as well. Great work with the b/w tones.
