Patterns in Butterfly Wings

I took this image of a Tailed Jay in the butterfly tent about about a year and a half ago.

Canon 60D, f/8, 1/500, ISO 400, 210mm

The variety of greens both in shape and in color are great here, Barb. The texture contrast between the smooth bf and the prickly leaves is nice also.

Good point of focus & tip to tip wing details..
The matching greens of the perch & soft BG make it great :toast:

Nicely caught, Barb. That guy is sharp and stands out well against the dreamy background. Composition is right on and balanced. Also a fine example of symmetry in nature.
