The Crocus are EARLY!

Not so long ago I noticed buds of many different early blooming Spring flowers. Then they began to open, slowly, as if peeking out to test the air for unseasonal warmth. A couple of days ago, the neighborhood popped with flowers everywhere! This is a good two to three weeks early, I think, for most of them.

Anyway, here are some crocus for you. Hope you enjoy.

D750, 105/2.8 micro, circular polarizer, handheld; f11, 1/125, ISO 320, -0.67 ev.

Catherine: I always enjoy your crocus shots and this is no exception. I like your POF/DOF choice and the rich colors are wonderful. We can't grow crocus here so every image of them is a real treat to me. I hope it is the first of many more. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

Are you kidding me! We got 3 inches of snow last night and now have 50 mph winds blowing in around! However, this lovely view with a fine emphasis on the flower centers does give me hope that spring will come...eventually.

I love the comp and the beautiful rich colors, Catherine! We won't be seeing any flowers blooming around here for a few weeks, but this is a nice reminder that spring is on the way!

Catherine, I like this very much. I do wonder what it would look like shot at around f/4, with more blur in the OOF petals. Lovely, vibrant colors!

The colors are wonderful. I love the bright cheerful centers. Nothing like a bunch of crocus to confirm springs arrival.
