Here is an original single frame of the image I posted with the star trails. I would really like some input as to which you like the best and color as opposed to B&W. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Canon 7D
Sigma 10-20
Manual
Shutter 20 sec
Aperture f4
ISO 400
10mm
Tripod and cable release
Cropped to about 70% or original

I like this better than the previous post. Beautiful sky - I would maybe darken the foreground just a touch (though I'm sure it was quite bright under full moon)

Richard, I'm not a fan of star trails so this image works much better for me. I really enjoy the mood this one has. That is a great looking sky with the stars and clouds but it does look like quite a bit of noise in the larger version. Other than that I like this one very much.

I like the B&W w/o the star trails, but this color version works for me as well. Both (sans star trails) works very well, but convey different moods and feel.

It used to be that moonlight photos didn't work, as low values simply fell below the sensitivity of the medium. High ISO digital amplification has really changed the abilities here. You have done a great job of exploiting this. Here in Alaska the brigh moon on the snow looks fully as bright as what you have portrayed. I have a feeling that the camera also amplifies the color saturation, having noticed this recently when taking some Aurora photos. Perhaps this is due to the way our eyes adapt, reverting to a more B&W view of the world in the dark.

Cheers: Tom
