I was out shooting the Roadrunners again today. I liked this head on shot as it showed off the white patterns on the top of the upraised tail. Processed using Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC 2014. Comments and critiques welcome.

Canon 7D Mark II
Canon 200-400 f4 L IS
f5.6
1/640s
ISO 200

Well I still don't know much, but I know what I like and I like this one best of all your Roadrunner pics. I like the shot of the tail feathers at this angle and it looks like its head feathers are up as well. Not sure how you get them to stand so still especially being in front of it like that.

Sweet. Do you have a Roadrunner studio preference somewhere? :toast:

Very, very good, Jerry. Might even be better than the earlier one with the tail erect. You've got the alertness that is the essence of the species in this shot. Nicely sharp, esp. for the zoom cranked all the way out and the teleconverter engaged.
