Drake's Beach Clouds

by Kathy Barnhart

We haven't had a drop of rain in the month of January here in the Bay Area, but it was glorious in December. Drake's Beach at Point Reyes National Seashore seemed painted in blue and white on this December day.Several beach hikers enjoyed it also, as you can see in the ULC.

Comments and critiques welcome, and thanks in advance.

Canon 5d,m3, for some reason the specs for this one aren't showing up on my Lightroom file.

Kathy, I'm enjoying this scene very much. It has a wonderful refreshing feel and is quite inviting. Great reflections and the blue and white combinations are very pleasing to look at. Nice work on this!

what a great day! Love the FG
The image appears slightly tilted.

Yes, this is very crisp and clean. Those smooth reflections in the FG are especially nice.
Not sure, but I think the appearance of being tilted is an illusion. I tried scrolling down, and it seems like the water horizon is level. Regardless, nice one.

great crowds and reflections, I agree the tilt is probably an illusion. I just heard on the radio that San Francisco recorded no rain in January for the first time ever.

Lovely shot of one of my favorite beaches in Point Reyes.  The angle works esp well, as do the cloud reflections in the water.
