Alberto's recent MP post had me looking through my 2012 files from there and I liked the proportions in this image. Looks like a wall hanging in the far room.

f/11, 1/8 sec, ISO-200, 18mm, handheld so a bit soft.

This came out great, Dave. Yes, that does make you think of a wall hanging on the far wall. I like the warm tones and the wonderful textures of the stone.

Yes - it could be a wall hanging, but if I forget that I also see a "telescoping" effect, with the two similar windows that draw you towards the mountainside in the distance. Did you notice how the quality of the stone work varies dramatically from place to place?

lovely image, well seen!
Some areas appear little hot to me.

I agree the proportions work well as the viewer is pulled into the image toward the "hanging wall picture". The warm tones are nice but the key aspect for me is what appears to be side lighting filtering in from the lower right. It adds a bit of intrigue and desire to explore. Nicely done.
