A few days before christmas I made a trip to Lake Thun in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. I always wanted to photograph the lake with the majestic alps. Here you can see the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in the Swiss Alps.

Amazing color in the sky and reflection on the water, as well as the mountain backdrop. I also like the foreground stones which gives dimension to the image.

Roland, you caught a lovely sunset (sunrise) in a great setting. The foreground rocks add a lot of interest and create a fine sense of being there.

I like the colors in the sky and reflection on the lake. The foreground rocks add a lot and help lead the eye towards the mountains.

A great looking scene with beautiful light, color and reflections. I too really like what the foreground rocks add to this scene. Nice work Bill.

Beautiful image. Glad I can sit here and experience it.

I just got some ND grad filters this week, so I'm curious where you lined it up for this as I can't tell. I was under the impression this jagged skyline would be more suited to a soft grad. Something I clearly need to experiment with for myself, but was curious here.

Jeff, I placed the Filter on the horizon of the lake. A soft grad would have worked as well here.

Lovely light and color. The Eiger North Face looks as forbidding as ever. I like the stones and the soft reflection.

Intense colors, what a majestic view, Amazed that the darker landforms did not turn out too dark with the grad. Processing looks perfect. SOmetimes it can be difficult to control such intense colors, great job here.

Amazing sunset. The saturation does look a bit overdone to me. However, it may have actually looked this way. Either way, impressive image.

Fantastic colors in the water and sky. Wonderful pinks on the snow covered mountains, and great detail and texture in the rocks. Composition is very pleasing. Thank you for posting. Good use of the Graduated filter.
