Whenever I see scenes like this I can't help but wonder how long these rocks have withstood the river and how big they were when they first became part of the water course. All comments welcome.>=))>

An intimate view of a powerful river, which conveys all of its energy. I do like the color palette very much! :toast:

I like the colors in the rocks and water and the nice sense of motion. I like the lines created by the foreground water.

Boy, if you ever saw this river after a hundred year flood event, you would surely wonder how they can stay anchored and for how long. I like the mixture of sandstone and water. Nice intimate study. :wavey:

This conveys a strong feeling of energy and resistance, Bill - a powerful image beautifully composed and with lovely tones throughout.

I have the exact same thoughts when encountering this type of scenes, if only rocks could speak.... The flow in the water works really well, and I like the "iridescent" spot of water on the right side of the big rock.

Bill, Some great energy and motion here with that flowing water. The darker water in the foreground looks great and contrast nicely with the brighter water. I like the comp you came up with very much and the color and textures in this are very nice indeed. Good work!

Beautifully done Bill. The sweeping water at the bottom of the frame really adds a lot to the composition.
