Karst Abstract

My local area has an abundance of karst topography. The rocks are primarily limestone with some outcroppings of marble. Many of the rocks have been smoothed by water over the millennia, so I was surprised to find this more layered outcropping.

Geology is an amazing thing. I enjoyed your take on this exposed sample. I like the bits of gold scattered through out.

This is a fine look at the erosion details here, Preston. I really like the "diving triangle" comp. As a minor nit, I'd like to see the top of that outcrop at the center.

Love the shapes of these rocks, and those patches of lichens are a great detail.

Incredible technical achievement. Looks like a medium format image. Beautifully seen.

No nits. The orange area near the right edge does draw your eye to it a bit.

This is so nice. So much to explore and appreciate. I would have not guessed this was limestone - such a different look from Florida limestone. Gorgeous image Preston.

Preston, surely a scene crying out for your 4x5 and a sheet of Ilford Delta 100? Well, so it might seem to me!
