Here is an earlier image of the "Flying" Wild Dog using a lower ISO.

I love the fact that the head is sharp and the rest of the image conveys motion. Great background also. Very nice capture.

Ken, I could make out from the thumbnail that it is the same flying Dog.
Love the motion blur n sharpness where it matters.

Wonderful use of the blur action shot - their is noise showing from the high ISO but I think the look on the fact and the action is captivating enough to make one look past that flaw.

I like this one better than the fully airborne version. Great, that the face is in focus with everything else out of zone or showing movement. I think it would be cool to spend time noise reducing the entire background/foreground (everything but the subject) and seeing if this would print large, if you have enough pixels.

I like your choice to pan. The image seems a little noisy, especially in the larger version, but that's understandable at ISO 3200. You mentioned trying a B&W version. I'd love to see that!

Ken,

I was having a look to your pictures and could not refrain myself to commet on this, altough it was posted longer time ago.

At the avian gallery I said a bit about why I do not often make "action photos" and one of the reasons is that often the picture snapshots a moment in time that our eye cannot realize or see.

In this case it is different since having seen how wilddogs like to play, or also warm up before hunting, the image tells a lot about it.

For me one of the best "action photos" that I have seen devil
