November 22, 2014 in Mission Beach, California. This is another in the series I shot in about 2 hours that morning. To the left of the surfer is foam, a slight blue area and more foam at approximately 8:00 o'clock. The residual blue in the water is the track he took to the top of the wave where he launched himself in the air and turned 180 degrees in mid-flight. While I photographed many spectacular images of surfers in the air doing wonderful things, many did not finish the move and crashed. Those I post all made the turn and completed the ride.
