Hi Danny,

I think this scene looks great with the diagonal comp of the water, and the luscious green through out this capture. I was thinking maybe if you moved over to the left a bit, you could have had a more complete view of the stream, but that may have not have been possible.

Nice work on this capture

Perfect Gorge scene. Lots of green and water everywhere.

Nice capture of all the cascades and the exposure is spot on for the land and water. Lots of stuff going on here, a bit cluttered composition wise IMO, all the edges of the frame somewhat untidy with elements being cut off too close to the edge. I think a closer crop would simplify this in a good way.

These are the type of image that is at it's best large such that the eye can rove about and feast on all of the detail. Some images have the simple elements of composition and work OK small, this one needs to be large!

It's a great scene, but tough to compose. I'd probably crop the tree on the right out. The greens look a little too strong on my calibrated monitor.

I agree with Kah Kit's comments. I suggest cropping out the tree and that debris in the water on the right. Doing so would draw more attention to the good things going on in the stream. You did a nice job with the processing, but I do agree the greens are a little over-saturated.

Danny I like the strong greens that your CPL brought out in this image and you have captured some very fine details. The shutter speed you chose looks to be the appropriate amount to give the falls that nice soft look. It looks like there are a couple of hotspots on the water but could just be my screen. I do agree with the crop suggestions, particularly removing a substantial amount on the right. Seems a shame to go to that extreme though so an alternative might be to apply some heavy burning around the edges especially the middle to upper right side above the rocks. There nothing there of interest anyways and the color is essentially the same as the rocks below so it feels like one big sheet of green. Darkening this area would really draw the eye to the rocks and stream. A combination of cropping and burning would be effective as well in drawing attention to the stream. Nice image. :toast:
