Same to you and yours, Ed. These snowy shots on NPN the last few weeks almost, almost, make me wish I lived somewhere to enjoy them but, alas, I prefer the relative warmth of NorCal.
This is a great image of a winter wonderland with the stream the perfect lead to the back of the photo. :toast:

The open water is a terrific lead into your winter landscape.

A fine winter scene, Ed. The winding of the river leading back into the trees works very well and the softness in the water from you ss choice blends perfectly with the snow.

Merry Christmas Ed. The stream provides a nice lead in. I can almost feel the cold.

Merry Christmas to you, too, Ed.

I like this. The color and the textures created by the snow are wonderful. It looks cold. I suggest a crop from both sides because the stream, its channel, and the tall pine are the main elements, here. This would also look nice in B&W, but the color version has a nice mood, as well.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone; always appreciated. As per Preston's suggestion here is a vertical comp that I composed just after taking the horizontal.

Stunning. Love the way the eye is drawn first from fgd to bgd, then takes in the whole composition. And Happy New Year to you.

Love the "velvia" look here with the cool tones. Like this image a lot but actually much prefer the vertical crop with the stronger emphasis on the snaking river leading through the image and the snow covered foreground boulder?? in the river. :wavey:
