Cropped for composition, but still somewhat small in the frame. I suppose he's facing the wrong direction, but I like the way the sun was shining on his wings.

The back light on the shrub and the glint on his wings paint a fine picture here, Barb. I don't think have the df facing away is a problem in the least because the image is about the environment and the light, it's not a portrait of the df.

Hey Barb,
I like this a lot, the DF is perfectly placed in the frame, the colors, lighting and detail are sweet.
Well done and a nice choice for this WC.

Lovely detail, Barb - and the background sets off the dragonfly perfectly!

Excellent capture of a dragonfly in the context of it's environment, Barb. The direct light on it's wings is a definite bonus in this shot. Nicely shot and perfect for the theme!
