Pretty in Pink

This is a classic view of the Matterhorn. I spent three days in the area in october with fellow swiss landscape photographer Martin Mägli.
This is from the second morning at Stellisee before sunrise.

Nothing at all to criticize here for me, Bill. The color gradation is special and the little island really makes the comp. I like that pale blue cloud too. Kudos!

I really like the colors, light and reflection. I also like the sharpness of the mountain. The only thing I am on the fence about is the foreground object. My eye keeps being drawn to it and away from the main subject.

The Matterhorn in candyfloss pink. Rarely looks better than this. It must have been a wonderful experience.

You have some nice alpenglow on the Matterhorn, here, Bill. That, along with the warm pinks and the blue earth-shadow give this a quiet feeling. I agree with Mark that if feels a little tight on the bottom.

Those wild bands of blue and pink make the shot for me. It must be rare to see the whole peak exposed like this. I'm not crazy about the island, as it feels too tight there in the corner, but awesome shot nevertheless.
