A River Runs Through It

Taken in the beautiful Glen Etive, Scotland back in October. I had borrowed a 10 stop ND filter for my few days up in Scotland and put it to use in this shot to soften the water in the river.

All feedback is welcome, good or bad, and thanks for looking.

Gary.

D700, 24-70mm. 30 secs, F/16, iso 400.

I really like the warm colors of the light on those hills in the back and their bounce light on the water. It usually comes later in the day and is always a great experience.

I have no nits. Perhaps that stream on the upper left is distracting to some.

The large version needs to be seen to see how well crafted this is.

I agree with Bill here, Gary. Makes Scotland a notch higher on my list. Really sweet color combination and I love the silky texture in the water. Beautiful composition and the large view is a treat. :toast:

This has a real nice feel to it with the warm lighting along with the autumn foliage. I really like the effect the ND filter created with the water, Gary. Beautifully done.

This is lovely and very inviting, Gary. I especially like the gentle warmth of the light on the far side. The silky water adds some fine reflected highlights. Might be worth cloning out the stream popping in on the left, but that's a very minor distraction.
