Waterlilies at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia (Athens, GA), summer solstice 2014, around noon. Extreme wide angle lens - comments on the weird perspective are welcome!

Zuiko Digital 7-14mm, Olympus E-620, ISO 200, f/13, 1/200 sec.

Alberto: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a terrific first post here. I think the perspective is terrific and that this is a refreshing take on a wonderful subject. The sun reflection is a nice bit of icing on a fine cake. Well seen, conceived and captured.>=))>

Excellent use of the wide angle lens and stopping down to create the sunstars, Alberto. Expertly and artistically done. Certainly a different and appealing water lily image. :toast:

Captivating! The eye is drawn to the bloom and then we drift to take-in the surroundings. Great composition and lighting on the bloom. The b'g above the water is a bit dark for my tastes. Cool shot!

Alberto,

Somehow I missed this one. You captured the scene with a very interesting perspective. I like the reflections in the water and the texture of the water lily flower....................Jim
