Feeding Humpbacks

These two Humpbacks were feeding together .

The large opened mouth showing Great Details was extremely exciting to see & enjoy!

Taken in Great Bear Rainforest of Northern BC Canada.

D600 with 200-400 VR F4 @ f5.6 1/1250 ISO 2800

-1.0 Meter Compensation , Hand held from Sail Boat

VR on Active, Some NR applied

Full Frame with very slight Leveling.

Very nicely executed with some great BG. Inspite of applying NR, some noise is visible.

Thanks for the feedback. My first attempt with NR. I need to get more familiar with its application and hopefully the captures will look quieter!
The GBR is an amazing, wild area with pristine waters being fed from the Mountain rivers . Rain was constant with very dark skies and cloud cover but Exciting to see the many whale encounters, spirited on by our trusted and seasoned Experts. Brad was generous with his extensive knowledge and understanding of the whales and their unique behaviours.
Would not have been possible to enjoy & capture so many amazing images without his guidance and patience.

Love this Bill...not to get into a long thread on your post, but one of my fondest memories in the wild was a very close encounter with these whales, so this one is special to me already...the shot certainly enhances my feeling....love the feeding action captured and nicely framed.
Agree with Jagdeep about the NR in the BG. You say you are not real familiar with using NR. Which application have you chosen to work with?
