Foggy Wetlands (WC)

I went back into my film archives for this foggy photo. Shot around 2003 at Newport Wetlands, Mill Creek Park, Youngstown, with a Nikon F5 and 17-35 and velvia film. The purple flowers, Loosestrife, are an attractive but highly invasive species. Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome.

Another beauty, Scott. I like the big sweeping curve on the right and the island(?) with flowers as a visual stop. The fog adds a nice sense of mystery and quiet. I do feel like the colors are slightly over saturated, but I know from experience how hard it is to get colors "right" from a scan.

I think I'd like to see a bit more space at the top but otherwise a classic fog image and comp. Looks somewhat over-saturated to me too.

If the flowers are OS, it's by a tad.

This one looks like a painting, Scott. Beautifully composed, with splashed of color in all the right places. How ironic that some of the most harmful invasive species (harmful to native species and ecosystems, anyway) are also quite beautiful. (Of course that's why some of them were brought here before people realized how upsetting that can be.)
