Just a Doe? REPOST

I received a nice bunch of suggestions on this particular photo and went back to the image and incorporated some of the advice. I removed a particularly offensive piece of vegetation on the ULC but I left the rest as a liked how it framed the doe in conjunction with some other veg on either side. Personal preference on this. I didn't want to crop any further as this was pretty big to start with. I reduced the exposure by 1/2 stop to better reflect the early morning hour that it was. That's it. Does it work better than the original? I'm interested in your view so please let me know. Tech specs are with the first photo. Thanks for any input.

Peter, I like the darker surroundings and the foreground grasses seem more truly rendered. I would try to attain a blend of both images, keeping these darker surroundings but selectively retaining the brighter exposure of the deer in the original post.
