Like those colors -- good choice of F9 for depth of field -- the bird is a standout against the brilliant colors in the background

The blue tit stands out very nicely from the BG. Good colors and details. Thanks for sharing.

It's the colors that make the image here. Wonderful way of framing an everyday species ! Nice ! Hans

nice capture John. Lots of detail.
I, for one, have no problem with the background. The colours are strong, but they contrast well with the subject.

John,
You always post wonderful shots of sweet little birds. The bird against the background is wonderful. Easy to clone the reflection out of his eye. Keep em coming. :toast:

The dark, rich, background colors really help set off this pastel colored bird. Classic composition, excellent focus, perfect exposure and great details really make this superb, John! :toast:

Thanks again. Its always difficult with bright coloured backdrops .Knowing whether to leave it as it was or reduce it. Everyone has different views.
Thanks all again.

You have a talent for framing interesting shots of common birds, John. You aced another one here. I prefer the repost because the background colors don't distract from the bird, but still complement it. Very nice.

John,
I actually like the Beech hedge in its original and true colours, as for the bird it is perfect for me. :toast: :toast:

Just a gorgeous image. Everything about it is great, the composition, color, dof, background, perch, focus and sharpness.

I really like this one a lot John. This is a scene which could have turned out quite busy with all the leaves, but here they work nicely with the color contrasts. Great job on this one.
By the way......I like the original. I don't think the BG colors detract at all...instead I find the contrast really helps make the bird pop more. In the repost the contrast is gone and the bird starts to blend and get lost more.

Thanks all
Kurt
Its getting so hard to decide what to do when you getso many differing views, and from your comments I reckon "leave as it was in the first place " is about the best !! Iwill always be confused whatever !!
