Royal Wedding Waterfall

Not the real name of this waterfall, but this view reminds me of the long train on the bride's dress in a royal wedding. This the same place as the last image I posted. I hesitated in posting the whole thing, because it looked like I broke a "rule" in photographing waterfalls. The water on the bottom looks too bright. I decided to post it this way anyway, because the glowing brightness at the bottom is one of the things that impressed me about the scene. What do you think?

Canon 5D Mark III; Canon 24-105mm.
8 sec. @ f/16; ISO 160

Please see the larger version. It is less saturated than this smaller one. (I only submitted one image: the larger one, which looks just like the original on my monitor.)

NOTE: OVER-SATURATION PROBLEM SOLVED. Some of you may remember a side-discussion in my recent posts about a problem I had with images getting over-saturated when I post them. Some commented that they had similar problems, so I thought I should report what I did wrong. I thought it was some complicated color management issue, but it was just a blunder I made in saving images for the Web. When I used the "Save for Web" method in Photoshop to save JPEGs, the "Embed Color Profile" box was not checked. I was confused about whether it should be checked or not. I tried checking it, and it worked! For a side-by side comparison of how this mistake affects images, see my recent post in the Digital Imaging Forum.

Neat falls Wayne! Looks good to me--might be worth cloning out the one branch crossing the falls towards the bottom. :wavey:

I like this vertical comp, Wayne. I like the imagery conveyed by the title/description. Subjectively, I'd prefer less glare from the water and wet rocks (cpl?) but I suspect you were after a different look. :wavey:

I think I prefer this one Wayne. I like more emphasis on the falls. I like the brightness from the fg water. I expect water to be bright and I like the silver against the green and brown bg. I also like the mood. Nothing I'd change here.

Very nice falls, Wayne. Love the cascading "S" curve and the SS speed looks good to me. I agree with Stan about the limb that stretches over the falls above the first pool from the bottom. I think if this is breaking rules, you should do it more often.

The big S curve of the falls looks great, Wayne. This looks like a wonderful place to hang out.

The comp is very interesting; the nice S-curve is very pleasing. I didn't catch if you typically use a polarizer for this kind of shot, but other than the bright water highlights I like the image a lot.
